Samantha'a or Sa'amantha?

Names are a tricky business. Tell someone you want to name your kid Jodie, and they'll spin a yarn about how their high-school sweetheart dumped them for a Jodie and ruined prom. No offense to anyone named Jodie, of course. But you get the idea. So we've held off on telling anyone what we're going to name our little girl when she finally makes her appearance in the world. Which should be any day now. Just not yet. She's still firmly ensconsed in ye olde wombe. But back to the names. Since everyone asks, whatcha gonna name de baaaaaby? I found it expedient to provide an answer, which, by all accounts, works both to assuage the interest of the asker, and also it's quite a good name in its own right. We have a son named Samuel, so what could be better than a daughter named Samantha? "Sam, go get your sister Sam." "Sam, be nice to your brother Sam." Awesome, right? But, alas, Sarah has nixed two Sams - even if we Hawai'ian it up with an apostrophe. Which means you still don't know what we're going with. But that's okay. She'll show up soon enough.
